On the Red Carpet
These Ringling College students are walking the red carpet and I find out why! Not only do I find out why, but I find out where they plan on going after graduation and what the best lesson they learned thanks to Ringling.

“We are Ringling Motion Design Students, we made all the trailers for before the movies that are playing. I’m really excited, people will actually get to see our animations,”

(Robin) “Excited to be here and have our work seen on such a wide audience.”
Do you plan on staying in Sarasota after school?
(Robin) No, I plan on heading to San Francisco, but I will be promoting Sarasota while I am out there.

(Brooke) “It’s amazing to have your stuff shown and people actually see it, not just the students at school.”

(Jason) “Our trailer was part of the Ringling contest, but pulled out and purchased for a commercial and PSA for the Sarasota Film Festival.”
What are your plans for the future?
(Audrey) “After college New York and LA are places we want to go where all the motion graphic and entertainment business is. What I want to be when I grow up is a creative director for a studio. If you don’t know much about the motion design program at Ringling, it’s basically encapsulates a lot of different things, film, graphics, special effects, so you can be a director, you can go into video games and you can go into commercials. I would like to touch bases on all those things, but I definitely want to be a creative director.”

What is the best lesson you learned while attending Ringling College?
(Audrey) “Work really hard, communication.”
(Jason)” Work really hard and know how to work with people. Communication is key in everything.”
Do you think Sarasota has an opportunity to be a San Francisco or NY?
(Jason) “It’s on the way up. It’s certainly making moves and the right moves to be there. The college is bringing in a lot of the industry, a lot of people are coming down – it’s drawing eyes. I definitely see a future in Sarasota for the film industry and the motion graphics industry.”
